Welcome back to my blog. This week I 'll be the hostess again at Our Creative Corner. I love trees and wood so my proposal for this challenge is to create a project using woodgrain. You may use a technique to simulate woodgrain, or use designer paper, or an actual piece of wood! But the woodgrain needs to be there. You also have to use at least one button.
For the background I used Natural Composition Specialty Paper (126917) which I embossed using woodgrain embossing folder (127821), and then with the Crumb Cake ink pad (126975) I rubbed ink on top of the embossed paper to get the rips a little bit darker. The flowers have been colored with More Mustard ink pad (126964), and Daffodil Delight (126944), rubbing the flower directly on the ink pad. I stamped the sentiment from Feel Goods (W 129681, C 129684) on a piece of canvas (129375) with StazOn ink (101406). I attached the button (127833) with Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (125572). FM #94 Happy Chinese New Year!!
Hi there! This week's challenge is a real challenge, lol. The talented Heidi is the hostess and she created this fun challenge about Chinese New Year! Yeah, I know right? When I saw the theme of this challenge, I said, "What am I going to do for this challenge? I have no idea how I am going to put my ideas together to get a card done." But after a little research on Chinese New Year I came up with this card. I had a lot of fun making it and it really was something out of the box. So if I could do it, you can too.
Don't think I know Chinese because of the symbols in the card, which means Snake. I just drew them and then colored them in with a 0.7 Multiliner. The faux-paper lantern technique was applied on the lanterns. You can see the technique tutorial in the tutorial section at the Friday Mashup blog. Check out the creations of my teamies and I hope you get inspired to participate in this challenge!
Thanks for stopping by and have fun with this challenge!

White with a Decorative Edge
This week it is my turn to host our weekly challenge at Our Creative Corner. I love winter and snow, so based on that my challenge's theme is white on white with a decorative edge. Your card or project must be entirely white with the exception of the sentiment, which can be any color you want. Any embellishments you use have to be white as well and if you are using rhinestones they have to be silver.
White on white has a very elegant look, and in any occasion for which you make a card or project you cannot go wrong and it looks so classy, don't you think so?
Please visit Our Creative Corner blog to check out the amazing creations the DT has prepared for your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!
Below you are going to find the list of the materials I used for my card:
1- Whisper White Cardstock (100730)
2- Paper Doilies (129399)
3- Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder (129383)
4- Adorning Accents Edgelits (125595)
5- Beautiful Butterflies Bigz (114507)

9- Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246)
10- Pearl Basic Jewels (119247)
11- 5/8" Organza Ribbon (114319)

FM #93 Make a wish
Welcome to another challenge at the Friday Mashup. The talented and lovely Holly is our hostess and her challenge is to create a card with a birthday theme and if you want you can mashup it up with brads. Stop by the Friday Mashup blog to check out the wonderful creations that the DT has prepared for your inspiration.
I am a sucker for banners and in our Spring Catalog it was featured Hearts a Flutter stamp set (W 129249 C 129252) and the corresponding framelits dies (130159) which are banners. You can get the Hearts a Flutter Bundle ( W 131098 C 131097) that comes with the stamp set and the framelits with 15% savings. They give such a party look to your card. It is like expressing happiness, joy. So that is why I decided to use them in my card, although the cake could represent a birthday the banners confirm the celebration. The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake (W 121899 C 121958) , the number 41 from Memorable Moments (W 126680 C 126682) and the cake from Make a Cake (W 126740 C 126742). I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL (120893) to create the scallop at the bottom of the card. I also used Whisper White (100730), Pool Party (122924), Real Red (102482) cardstock, Pool Party ink (126982) and Basic Black ink (126980). I mashed up the challenge using Mini brads (122941) and Designer Printed Brads (122940).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Happy stamping!
If you want to order the products I used in this card click here. Once you place the order under my webpage, email me with the number of your order, write Tutorial in the subject and I will be happy to email you the tutorial for free on how I made this card.

Shabby Chic for OCC
For this week's OCC challenge Sharon Wheet, our hostess, wants us not to forget old times, so the challenge's theme is to create a project in a Shabby Chic style. She also describes Shabby Chic style as a style generally characterized by a time-worn look achieved by inking and distressing. There are layers of softness achieved by the use of ribbon, lace and crochet trim. Femine embellishments are items as buttons, pearls, glitter, and other sweet embellishments.
I created my card with a lot of the items named above. I love that style but sometimes it is hard for me to achieve it. I am happy with the way this card came out, of course that I couldn't do it again just like that. I used a lot of the new goodies featured in the Spring Catalog and here they are:
- Hearts a Flutter stamp set( W129249, C129252)
- Hearts a Flutter Framelits dies (130159)
- Artisan Embellishments Kit (129328)
- Tea for Two DSP (129311)
- Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (Sale-A-Bration) (130812)
This is all for today. Thanks a lot for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to participate in the Our Creative Corner challenge. Check out the OCC blog to take a look to the awesome creations the DT has prepared to keep your juices flowing.

FM #92 Patterns all around
Hi everyone! Welcome to another week's challenge for the Friday Mashup. The talented and lovely Amy is our hostess this week and her challenge's theme is to use patterns, and if you want to mash it up you can use three of these colors: Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Early Espresso.
Visit the Friday Mashup blog to get inspired by the wonderful creations of the design team!
I used different patterns from some of our DSP, and I ran them through the Big Shot with our Embosslits dies to get the different stripes. I embossed the sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set (W12968,1 C129684) in Early Espresso embossing powder.

It's your day for Dynamic Duos
Hi dear stampers! Today I am bringing another card I created for Dynamic Duos. This is my first time playing along in this challenge and the colors to use are Melon Mambo and Island Indigo.
I took the idea from Brandy Cox to create the flower using the Blossom Paper Punch (125603). In the center, I added the smallest size of the Soda Pop Tops (129388) featured in the Spring Catalog. I cut a circle with a 3/4" Circle Punch (119873) and a 1/2" Circle Punch (119869) out of Simmer Glimmer Paper (124005) . I placed the 3/4" circle in the center of the flower, I glued the Soda Pop Tops (129388) on top, and the 1/2" circle inside the Soda Pop Top. The button is attached to this last 1/2" circle. The embossed on the left side of the card has been done with the Delicate Design Folder (127023).

Color challenge for the OCC
First challenge of the year for Our Creative Corner! This week the talented and lovely Sharon Wheet is our hostess, and she prepared for us a very fun challenge. You have to make a project with aqua, pink and any neutral color, and besides that she wants to see flowers in your project. Let's go check out the DT's creations to get your juices flowing, they are all awesome! Hope to see you at the gallery.
I got inspired by Julee Tilman's style to create my card. Check out her blog and you'll see her wonderful work. I used some of the new products featured in the SU! Spring Catalog. To make my flower, I passed a thread along the stray of flowers from Flower Trim and pulled that thread to create the flower, then fastened it with that same thread. A rhinestone brad was added in the center.
Here is the list and corresponding article number of the products I used:
1- Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (129311)
2- 5/8" Flower Trim (126869)
3- Feel Good (W129681, C129684)
4- Little Leaves Sizzlits (114511)
5- Delicate Designs Folder (127023)
Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

FM #91 Let's get Sketchy
Happy 2013! Welcome to another week at the Friday Mashup. This week's challenge is my turn to be the hostess and I bring you a sketch to follow to create your card, and if you want to mash it up you have to add hearts.
Check out The Friday Mashup blog to take a look at the gorgeous creations of the DT for your inspiration.
I was inspired by the cover of the our new Spring Catalog. I stamped the image of the banner from
Oh, Hello stamp set (W 130730 C 130733) with white Craft ink (101731) on the right side of the card. I glued a paper doily (129399) on top of the white stamp image. I cut out the banner from Tea for Two DSP (129311), glued it and tied along Early Espresso baker's twine (123124), from where I attached the clock from Tea Time Trinkets (129326). The hearts are from framelits Hearts Collection (125599), and the green base where the hearts are, is from Apothecary Accents (127003). Each heart has a button from Bitty Buttons (118761), and a pearl ((119247). Last I spattered brown with the Color Spritzer Tool (107066).
I am so pleased with the way that my card came out and I hope you get inspired and participate in our challenge this week.
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
- Make a project using the "Sketch".
- Or Make a project featuring "Hearts".
- Or "Mash it Up" and create a project using the "Sketch and Hearts".
