The Paper Players Design Team Call

Woohoo!! One of my favorite challenge sites, The Paper Players, where I love to play every week (or most weeks!), is calling for two new Design Team members for March, April and May. So here my blurb goes.

My name is Liliana Inguanti-Garcia, but everyone calls me Lili. I've loved all type of crafts for my entire life.

I became a Stampin' UP! demonstrator right after I attended my first workshop four years ago. Since then I have been more and more involved with cards and different paper projects. I started my blog around one year ago to share my creations with others. Last year, I started participating in challenges and they have become my passion in creating something new every week, with different colors and designs.

I love to design cards and that is why I am so enthusiastic to be part of a design team, and to get inspired by talented artists and by all of the other submissions. This is a community where we have the chance to learn from each other, not only about papercrafting, but about culture and life.

Thank you so much for considering my submission!

Here are three of my favorite projects:

-Here is a little 3-D project I made last year for a class I was teaching

-This one I had made a while back for a colourQ challenge

-I made this one for Christmas last year

The Friday Mashup #46

I'm not old, I'm vintage! That is the theme for this week's challenge for The Friday Mashup. I have to thank The Friday Mashup team for picking my card as a Glamette on challenge #45, which was about penguins. It was an uncommon theme and so much fun to make a card with that bird!

Hope your day is as wonderful as you are! God bless you all!

Thanks for stopping by!

Clean and Simple Stamping #176

I was inspired by babies to create this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge #176. The size of the base of the card is 6 x 5-1/2, and the main panel is 4-3/4 x 2-1/2. I think that is a very unusual size, but it really looks very nice when the card is done.

I stamped the tees in Marina Mist on Whisper White cardstock and on designer paper. I cut them out from the designer paper and glued them on the white cardstock. I embossed the clothes line with Edgelits Dies (Adorning Accents-#125595) and tied the tees using Hemp Twine. Hope you like it!

Enjoy your day! God bless you all!

Our Creative Corner challenge: Best Friend

I am so glad to participate again in Our Creative Corner. This time I decided to create a scrapbook layout page with some photos I took of my daughters and their best friends on our trip to New York. Hope you can see the girls' happiness through these pictures, lol. We had a blast! Hope you like it!

Have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

The Friday Mashup challenge 45: Penguins

Hi everyone! First of all, I have to thank the Friday Mashup team for picking my card on challenge #44 and for all the wonderful comments you left on my blog. They are much appreciated!!

The new challenge is about creating a project featuring penguins and/or using the Spotlighting Technique. So, I decided to make a penguin with punches and use that technique too. My friend and colleague Geraldine Andrade is a pro with punches, so I was inspired by her penguins to create this card. To add some texture to the little penguin, I poured Crystal Effect on top. The bubbles where she is thinking also have Crystal Effect, and the background was stamped with the image of the little penguin. Hope you could see all the details in the picture. It was so much fun creating this card and I think that the girl penguin is very cute, isn't she? Hope you like it.

Have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

Our Creative Corner Challenge: Love is in the Air

This card was created with Valentine in mind (as you can see) for Our Creative Corner Challenge: Love is in the Air.. I stamped the hearts with Basic Gray Classic Ink, except for the red one which was stamped in Real Red with a little heart on top and a rhinestone to make it pop even more. The bottom was embossed with the new embossing folder called Adorning Accents. Hope you like it. Enjoy!

Card Patterns Sketch 151 and colourQ challenge 123

First of all, I have to thank the colourQ team for picking my card in challenge #150. I have to thank everyone for all the comments you left on that card, they are much much much appreciated!

I created this card using the colors of the colourQ challenge and the sketch of Card Patterns Sketch.

I stamped the flowers with Peach Parfait Classic Ink on regular Whisper White cardstock. The reason I am clearing this up is because I painted the flowers with watercolor, using the aquapainter, with the bristles just damp to prevent the paper from peeling off. If you use the bristles that way and if you don't touch the outline of the flowers, you won't have any problem painting watercolor on regular cardstock and with classic ink.

Of course that if you don't want to take the risk, you can use watercolor paper and StaZon ink, and you can play it safe. But if you want to give yourself a challenge, give it a try. It is so much fun!

Have a great day! Enjoy!

The Paper Players Challenge 81

I created this card for The Paper Players challenge. This challenge is from Nance and the theme is flowers.

To make the flower, I used the Designer Printed Kit Blossom Builders. It includes double-sided, printed, die-cut flowers on textured paper. It also includes half back Pink rhinestones (exclusive to this kit). You can find this kit in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

To make the flower stand a little bit more, I added some petals using the Poppy Parade ribbon, which you can get for free if you order $50 in Stampin' UP! products!

Hope you have a great day and thanks for swinging by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 151

I decided to use the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, which coordinates with the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set, which I love.

Both are in the Occasions Mini Catalog, and because we are in the Sale-A-Bration promotion, for $50 you spend in Stampin' UP! products, there are several stamps and accessories that you can earn for free. Items from the online clearance rack (as well as any current SU! products) can be included in your online order and count toward your total! Spend $150 or more and you will receive both Sale-A-Bration gifts and earn Hostess Benefits! Qualifying totals exclude shipping and taxes.

And that is not all, if you want to become part of the Stampin' UP! family, this is the time! The starter kit is only $125 during the Sale-A-Bration promotion, from January 24 until March 31.

Thanks for swinging by and hope you like my creation. Enjoy!

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #47

Okay, so I'm a week late on this one! But I made this card and had a hectic week, and didn't get around to posting it until now! This sketch is from Chupa's Saturday challenges...it is my first time participating in this challenge!

Hope you like it, and if you haven't checked out Chupa's blog yet, you MUST. Her work is truly amazing and she is a big inspiration for me.

colourQ challenge 122 and The Friday Mashup challenge 44

I'd love to share with you how I created this card for the colourQ and The Friday Mashup challenges. I decided to transform a card into a post card for Valentine's Day, which reminds me of when my daughter was studying in Iceland two years ago and celebrated all the holidays far from home. Hope you like it. Enjoy!
