Friday Mashup #56

Another week for the Friday Mashup challenge. So here is the "Mashup" Challenge: Make a project for "Graduation." Or Make a project using "Text or Definition Stamps and/or Paper." Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Graduation project with Text or Definition stamps/papers."

To create this card, I was inspired by a graduation card I designed a while ago. What I love about this design is that the card is like an envelope and you can write whatever you want for the graduate on the insert. It is a non-traditional card and that's why I like it.

Enjoy! Remember to check out the other wonderful creations for Friday Mashup #56!
Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

The Friday Mashup #55

The challenge for this week is to make a project using the sketch or make a project using the "Ghosting (aka VersaMark Resist) Technique" or mash it up and create a project using the sketch and ghosting technique. So I mashed it up and I used the sketch and the technique. I applied the technique to the background where I stamped the presents for the birthday, and on the two red big balloons. For the background I used regular Whisper White cardstock, and applied the ink directly from the pad, I didn't use the daubers. For the balloons I applied the technique on glossy paper and used the daubers to apply the ink. Let me tell you that the difference is that on the glossy paper the technique is more visible than on the regular cardstock, which gives a more subtle look. Everything depends on the effect that you are looking for. Hope you like it!

Don't forget to check out the other fabulous creations at The Friday Mashup! Over there you are going to find how to do the ghosting technique. Enjoy!

Life is a matter of moments

I combined Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #156, colourQ challenge #133 and The Paper Players challenge #91. Wow, when I started to write my post, I noticed that I made the card for those three challenges. That is why I enjoy participating in challenges and making cards so much...I combined the three of them without noticing! I hope you like my card today. Have a great weekend!

colourQ #132

My favorite color is orange. I think that it is a vibrant and energetic color, and this week the colourQ challenge color combo has Pumpkin Pie in it, and I love to combine any color with it. My favorite combinations are blue or green with orange, and black with orange.

Hope you like my creation! Enjoy!

The Friday Mashup #54

This week's challenge is for kids. The reason why is because April is Autism Awareness Month and the month of the Military Child, so the theme for Friday Mashup #54 is to create a card with the colors of your favorite Muppet, or a card for kids.

I created a birthday invitation with the colors of Miss Piggy, but I couldn't resist the temptation to create Miss Piggy with punches. I love the Paper Punch Addiction site, and I really admire those talented artists creating animals and any figure with punches, but I am not good at that at all. But because I got inspired with Miss Piggy, I decided to give it a try and use my punches, and after all she came out cute! Don't you think so? Hope you like it! Enjoy!

colourQ challenge #131

Hi there! I created another card for colourQ. I saw a sketch that I liked in Cards magazine, and because I had the DSP that matches with the color combo of this week's challenge, I decided to give it a try. Happy Easter to everyone! God Bless you all!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #155

I created a simple and clean design for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #155. I wasn't really in the mood to layer a lot of papers or embellishments to the card. I just wanted to make it simple.

I love butterflies and I think that they are such delicate creatures that I respect and enjoy their beauty. Which is why I chose the Kindess Matters Stamp Set for this card. I hope you like my creation! Enjoy!

The Friday Mashup #53

This is my first card as a guest designer for The Friday Mashup. I'll be a guest designer for April. I am so happy for that and I want to thank the team one more time, for giving me the chance to share my creativity with all of you.

The theme for this challenge is tic tac toe or special fold, and I mashed it up and created a card with lace, for baby and using neutral colors as the tic tac toe, and a detachable bookmark as the special fold. The boat is made out of felt and then hand stitched.

Hope you like my creation, and check out the other creations at The Friday Mashup Challenge blog!

Hugs,
Lili

The Paper Players #89

Another week for The Paper Players challenge. The theme is a funny theme, so you can start crackin' up, lol. I am not kidding, the theme is "Tickle your Funnybone" so what else can you do than laugh. If you go to the challenge, you are going to see how many wonderful creations are there and really so funny.

So here is my creation, with a desperate chicken trying to blow off the candles on the cake that probably will catch on fire for the amount of candles that are on it. Hope you like it! Enjoy! Have a great day!

Clean and Simple #183

I created this card for the Clean and Simple challenge. I love, but love, to paint with watercolors so I decided to paint a flower as a focal point for this sketch.

First, I stamped the rose on watercolor paper with Staz-On. Secondly, I wet the areas I wanted to color (Rose Red) petal by petal, trying to paint one petal at a time, and started applying color. I used our classic inks directly from the ink pad, let the paper dry and retouched the areas where I wanted the color to be darker. To darken, I used Cherry Cobbler. I left some white areas to reflect the light.

Hope you like it! Enjoy!

The Friday Mashup #52

Another card for The Friday Mashup. Let me tell you that with great honor, I'll be guest designer for the month of April for The Friday Mashup! You know what? I really love designing cards or any other project, and to be able to design new cards for a challenge like this one...I am like a dog with two tails, lol. Thanks Holly and the rest of the team for giving me the chance to share my creativity with all of you and the rest of the participants.

For this week's challenge, I created a card with kites and colorful twines. To create the sky, I applied the shaving cream technique. It is a little bit messy but the results are spectacular.

Hope you like it! Have a great day!
