Enjoy the journey!

Hi there! Lori is bringing us another fun challenge for Our Creative Corner. She challenges us to create a card or a project inspired by travel and/or transportation. We have to use at least two different designer papers.

Stampin Up has released a new stamp set called Sent with Love (131847) and the matching designer paper (132182). I love planes and this set is all about planes so what a better opportunity to use it for this challenge. I just used the stamps from this set and the papers to create my card. It was that simple.

Click here if you want the stamp set Sent with Love (131847, the Designer Series Paper (132182) or the bundle (132851) for a special 20% discount.

This week Heidi is bringing us a challenge to honor tax day. We have to create a project using notebook or spread sheet/balance paper. It is an unusual and fun challenge. You can see all the variety of designs that the design team has created.

I was inspired by one of the cards offered in one of the classes I took on Clean and Simple CardMaking 2. I adapted the original design to fit in this challenge.

Some music in our lives

Hi there. Sue, our hostess at Our Creative Corner, is challenging us to create a project with music in it and kraft. I think that music is a great way to add melody to our lives and it is amazing how much our mood depends on the music we listen to. That is what happens to me, does it happen to you too?

I don't have stamps that represent music, so I combined an embossing folder and a washi tape with music notes with other stamps. I added flowers and buttons which I consider match with the music in my card.

Butterflies Gallore!!!!

Hi everyone! Holly brings us a triple challenge this week at the Friday Mashup and this is about creating a card using the brayer, for me a very forgotten tool, the sketch and/or the addition of butterflies. I am not expert with the brayer but I managed to create the sky and the bottom part of the card. As you can see I flipped the sketch sideways so the ribbon looks better like this than on the original sketch.

Check out the creations of the design team at the Friday Mashup blog.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

1. Make a project using the "Sketch".
2Or Make a project using "Butterflies & Your Brayer".
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with "your Brayer using the Sketch and add some Butterflies".

Analogous colors at Our Creative Corner

Happy weekend everyone! Our Creative Corner is bringing us a new and fun challenge for this week. Sue is our hostess and she challenges us to create a square card, and to use analogous colors, which are the colors next to each other on the color wheel.

As you can see in the picture I used my favorites colors that are in the shades of oranges, reds  and yellows. I placed all the elements on a natural white cardstock. I got inspired by Iwona Palamountain. I am pleased the way my card came out.

Stop by Our Creative Corner blog and check the amazing creations of the rest of the design team.

Thanks for popping in! Have a wonderful day!

Colors and Patterns

Happy Monday! Another week for the Our Creative Corner challenge, and as usual I am running behind with my post. Meihsia is our hostess this week and she challenges us to create a project inspired by the colors and patterns in the photo, and we have to include at least one piece of metal embellishment. Please visit the Our Creative Corner blog to take a look at the gorgeous creations of the rest of the design team.

I created a tag this time, and I applied the Rusted Enamel Technique. Then I added some texture with the laces and my pieces of metal are the three ribbon slides.

Inspired by the photo

Hello! Happy Saturday! This week the talented Meihsia is the hostess for Our Creative Corner. The theme of the challenge is to get inspired by the colors in the photo and add fabric flowers and a crown.

I wanted to create some texture in my card, so I applied a coat of crackle paint, let it dry and then sponged some distress ink here and there. I don't know if it shows in the picture, but the final look is kind of rough. Then I added some splotches of paint, the embellishments and stamped the sentiment with Staz-On black ink. The big flower was made with a strip of fabric which I folded around and fastened with thread and a brad. The little flowers are small circles of fabric fastened with a brad. The different panels of cardstock have been glued off to give interest.

Hope you like it and I hope you get inspired enough to participate in our challenge! Stop by the Our Creative Corner blog to check out the wonderful creations the rest of the design team has created.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy stamping!
