The Friday Mashup #69

Hi everybody!! Hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am. I am back from convention and ready for another week at the Friday Mashup. This week Lisa is our hostess and I hope all of you out there participate in this fun challenge about Christmas.

I am pretty sure you've heard of Christmas in July, so get ready then and make a card for our challenge. Hope to see you there, and don't forget to check out the FM blog and see what the design team has created to inspire you.Have fun!

Here's how I made my card:
1) I stamped the pine trees on Whisper White cardstock. I used Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke markers to color the stamp, so the image, when you stamp it, will show the pine trees in the background a lighter color than those on the foreground.
2) I applied glue on the area where the snow is and spread Iridescent Ice emboss powder.
3) I stamped the girl from Greeting Card Kids stamp set (W 119887, C 120633), and the bird on the snow ball from Snow Much Fun (W 122560, C 122562) with StazOn (101406), and then colored them in with AquaPainter brushes (103954) and Raspberry Ripple (126859), Midnight Muse (126860), Summer Starfruit (126991), Bashful Blue (126991), and Gumball Green (126861) ink pads. I used Blush Blossom marker (100037) for the face.
4) For the inside of the card, I stamped Sending Wishes sentiment from the Christmas Lodge stamp set (W 123767, C 123769) and used the Adorning Accents Edgelits (125595).

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

  6. This is adorable, and I love the coloring! Great idea to use that sentiment on the inside. I never know what to do with the big sentiments, but inside is perfect (I'm not much of a hand-writer)!
