Here is another card inspired by the Pretty Poinsettia craft class (171477). For this card, I used watercolors to paint the poinsettia but you can use ink pads as watercolors or watercolor pencils as well. Make sure to use watercolor paper (149612) if you are also going to paint with watercolors because the paper is made to absorb water and distribute the paint. Putting water on regular cardstock will damage the paper. It’s such a fun and easy technique and the results are beautiful! You can use whatever colors you like for the flowers and leaves to really make the card your own.
Feel free to send me a message if you’ve never painted with watercolors before and would like some help! I’d be happy to explain how I created the poinsettia and walk you through the technique.
Once the watercolor paper was completely dry, I added Wink of Stella (141897) to the flowers to give them a beautiful touch of sparkle and shine!
