Masking for Halloween!!!

Our Creative Corner is masking for Halloween! This is our challenge this week: to make a project featuring Halloween theme and using Masking Technique. The card that I created not only uses the Masking Technique but also the Bleaching Technique.

First I embossed the image with the witch with black embossing powder (109133), bleached out the moon and painted with yellow marker. Then I masked that image and stamped the graveyard and the fences. To stamp all those images I used the same stamp set Toxic Treats (W 127898 C 127901). I distressed the edges and rolled in the corner. Hope you like it! Boo!

Our talented Marcy is the host for this week's challenge. The Design Team has created wonderful projects to get you in the spooky mood of Halloween. Stop by the OCC blog to check them out.
Get inspired and I hope to see you in the gallery!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Lili - this card is Halloween awesomeness! The layering you achieved with the paper and then the masking is brilliant! It's really spooky with the colors you used and the gate! I must try that bleaching technique! It's perfect! Hugs, Marcy

  2. Hi Lili :) You achieved the feel of Halloween, definitely! Your full moon casting shadows on your flying witch looks incredible. Love that stamp set you used. The completion of the scene with her above the graveyard and those iron gates is terrific!! Tattering the tag and rolling the edges are just the icing on the cake. That really adds to the movement and scene on the card! I love your masking technique here. :)
