Happy Birthday Paula!!

Hi there! This week we have a birthday party at Our Creative Corner! It is Paula's birthday and she is our hostess for this week's challenge. She is going to use red, blue and yellow as the colors for her party's decoration so she challenges us to create a project with a cake using the colors mentioned above, and with layer upon layer.

I created my cake using some framelits, and I embossed the layers to give texture. My card turned out a little bit colorful to my taste but I think that it is ok since it is going to be for a birthday.
These are the materials I used:
Patio Party Designer Series Paper (126916)
Patterned Party stamp set ( W 123065 C 123067)
Memorable Moments stamp set (W 126680 C 126682)
Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (127751)
Adorning Accents Embossing Folder (125601)
Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder (129383)
Ovals Collection Framelits Dies (129381)
Heart a Flutter Framelits Dies (130159)
Scallop border paper punch (119856)
Paper piercing tool (126189)
3/8 Stitched Satin Ribbon Midnight Muse (126847)

Hoppy Easter!!!

Hello my dear followers. Our new challenge at the Friday Mashup is hosted by our talented Amanda, and she challenges us to create a project or card following the sketch, and mash it up if you want with bunnies. It was very hard for me to find a bunny that I really like, although this particular one wasn't one of my favorite, to be honest I didn't have a favorite. After all I am happy with how this card came out.

Check out the Friday Mashup blog and you are going to see what the rest of the DT have come up with.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project "using the Sketch".
  2. Or Make a project with "Bunnies".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Sketch featuring Bunnies".

Get creative with a Sketch!

Hi there! Paula is the hostess for Our Creative Corner's challenge this week. She inspires us to create a project using a sketch she drew up for this challenge. Pretty cool ha! Feel free to place your sentiment where it works best for your creation. The sketch can be rotated and all the elements from the original sketch have to be seen, but you can use it however you like.

I started with a piece of real red cardstock of 4 1/4" by 5 1/2", where I glued the panels of designer series paper from Parker's Patterns (131021). I used the Top Note Bigz (113463) to cut out the blue cardstock on the left and the Tasteful Trim BizgZ XL (120893) to cut out the yellow scallops on the right. I used the Window Frames Collection Framelits Die (129021) to cut out the sentiment, which is from Just Thinking (129940), and the red panel behind it. The ribbon is Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon (122332) and Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon (119959). The charm is from Tea Time Trinkets (129326).

Hope you like my card, and if you didn't get inspired enough to participate in the challenge, visit Our Creative Corner blog and you will see the wonderful creations of the Design Team.

Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Get Crazy with Markers!!

Hello dear followers! Today I am bringing another card I created for our weekly challenge at the Friday Mashup blog. Tara is our hostess and her challenge is to create a project using markers in any way you can imagine, and if you want, mash it up with texture.

I started with a 4" by 5 1/4" of Raspberry Ripple which I embossed using the Fancy Fan Folder (127751). The DSP panel is 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" from  In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks  2012-2014 (126910). The vertical panel is a 4 1/2" by 4 1/4" piece of Pool Party Coordination cardstock, which I embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder (127821). I cut the panel where the butterfly lies out of Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003). I stamped the butterfly from Papillon Potpourri ( W123757 C 123759) with Stazon (101406) on watercolor paper, painted it with In Color markers 2012-2014 (126856), and cut it out with the Elegant Butterfly punch (127526). The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets, Loving Thoughts ( W 125843 C 125845). Hope you get inspired enough to participate in the challenge.

Mardi Gras

In Our Creative Corner there is a unique challenge. Lisa, our hostess, has decided to make this challenge about the giant celebration that is coming up "Mardi Grass". I am not very fond of masks or carnival celebrations, so I wasn't very inspired to create my card for this challenge, but because I love the colors of the picture I decided to create my own mask, and here it is.
