Round or Square (MOJO176)

It was fun to play with Mojo Monday today because my friend Gisela came over and we designed the card together. Although these aren't her colors (which made it harder for her to combine them), she still gave her input and it turned out great! I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it!

NOTE: To make the flower, I cut five scallops with the 2-3/8" Scallop Punch. First, I broke the fiber of the paper by pressing the scallops firmly with the bone folder. After the fiber was broken, I pulled apart each scallop into two. This can be a bit tricky but the key is to do it slowly. Once you've finished doing this with all five scallops (you should now have ten scallops), mist them with water to moisten the paper. Scrunch the scallops and open them up with care because they can be easy to break since the paper is moist. Once they dry, give color on the borders using the daubers. I used Baja Breeze and River Rock.
I used the same technique to make the leaves.
Don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions.
Enjoy!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA78)

The PPA challenge for this week involves bows. I think bows give the final touch to any card or gift.
Here's how I made this card.
Note: First I embossed the top of the card with clear embossing powder.
-I stamped the scallop from the Circle Circus Stamp Set twice; once in Soft Suede, the other in Daffodil Delight.
-I cut a scallop out of Very Vanilla using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch. Then, I cut out what I stamped in Soft Suede with the 1-3/8" Circle punch and what I stamped in Daffodil Delight with the 3/4" Circle punch (through the center).
-I glued the scallop on the buttons with the mini glue dots.
Hope you like it! Enjoy!

Pensando en ti-Thinking of you

I took the idea of this card from a magazine called Cards (Jan. 2011 issue). Another vintage look, for this card I stamped the dots in different inks (the dots are from the For All You Do Stamp Set). Then I embossed two pieces of cardstock and used the Big Shot to cut out the butterflies. To give that vintage look on the edge of the card, I sponged it with Crumb Cake ink.
I actually made this card for the vintage swap I participated at Leadership.
Hope you get inspired to make your own vintage card!
Enjoy!

Just For You

After a week full of ideas and energy from the Stampin' UP! Leadership in Nashville, I am back in business! I'll be posting photos and the card samples I made for the demo at leadership promoting the Hispanic market, so you'll find a lot of cards with the sentiment in Spanish.
Click on the picture to view the Sale-A-Bration catalog!
On another note, the Sale-A-Bration promotion starts today, woo hoo! Remember that for each $50 you spend in products, you'll get a stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog (or some other stamps from the annual catalog which are specified at the end of the Sale-A-Bration catalog). If you have any questions, e-mail me or go to my SU! page, and click on "Sale-A-Bration" on the left-hand side.
I now leave you with my card for MOJO175. For this card I used rub-ons. I love the pin that's holding the "For You," isn't it cute?
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Amor y Amistad

I've said it over and over again, the papers in the Occasions Mini are amazing! Botanical Gazette is the one that I used for this card, which matches with the Nature Walk stamp set. I love the vintage look that both paper and stamp give to the card. I also stamped on the paper some of the images of the stamps.
The sentiments are in Spanish because I prepared this card for the Leadership Conference in Nashville, and they had to be in Spanish in order to promote the Hispanic market.
In case you don't know, "Amor y Amistad" means "Love and Friendship." In the stamp set it says Sweet Valentine, so you know you can use this stamp for Valentine as well.
Remember that to be able to get this stamp set, you have to hold a workshop of at least $300. If you are interested in holding a workshop and you don't live near me, I can give you the info to contact a demonstrator near your house or you can contact me and we can arrange how you can hold it so you can get the benefits!
Enjoy and hugs,
Lili

Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA76)

This year, one of my goals was to start participating in the Pals Paper Arts challenge. This week's challenge was a color challenge combining Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Perfect Plum!
I love participating in these challenges because they keep my creativity flowing. I tend to just focus on the design or challenge and come up with something truly original. I don't look at what other's came up with until after I've made my card...this way I try to stay as original as possible!
I love the design team at Pals Paper Arts and I support and congratulate them on their creativity and hard work week after week.
Here's what I came up with.
Enjoy and hugs!
Lili

Mojo Monday!

Well, more like Mojo Thursday for me! Anyway, we start the new year with another challenge from Mojo Monday (MOJO172)! I used the new products from the mini catalog. The papers are so charming that I love to combine them every time.
The sentiment in this card is in Spanish and English. I am putting up the one in English, and the one I made in Spanish will be on display at the leadership conference, so take this as a little sneak peek!
Remember that you can always send me an email or comment for any questions you may have.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!
Hugs,
Lili

Occasions Mini

Today is the launch of the Occasions Mini Catalog. I'm so excited, I love it! I really like the colors, the stamps, the new designer papers; and the buttons are sooo cute.
I will be demonstrating cards using these new products at the Stampin' UP! Leadership Conference in Nashville, and I am preparing samples to put up on display. I will be posting up all these cards in my blog after the leadership ends (Jan. 15), but you will get a sneak peek.
I just love to create with all these new products and designs. I hope you enjoy creating as much as I do. Enjoy and have a wonderful day!

Kicking Off The New Year

First of all, i wish you all a happy 2011!
God bless you all and inspire you to boost your creativity in any field you're in.
Secondly, I need to apologize for the Christmas cards I couldn't finish by the end of the year. For all of you who have been following me for the past month, you know that my desire was to make 70 cards before Christmas. Unfortunately, due to health problems in my family, I couldn't make the cards.

I start blogging again with this new thank you card. Thank you for being there and for all those who have stopped by to view my blog. I am going to try to inspire you by being very creative this year. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help you!

Thank you once again and have a year full of blessings!
Enjoy!
